Candle Care
Melt pools.
Allow candle to form full melt pool during your first burn to avoid tunneling. Soy wax has a "memory" and will only burn as far as the last melt pool.
Trim your wick.
Trim your wick to 1/4 inch before each burn. Failure to trim your wick can lead to excess carbon build up causing smoke, soot, and unstable flames.
Keep it clean.
Do not allow trimmings, dust, or ash to accumulate in the wax. Debris can lead to an uneven burn, smoke, and soot.
Keep it safe.
Burn candles on a heat safe surface away from drafts and flammable materials. Keep your candles out of reach of children and pets.
Rotate.
Regularly rotate your candle for an even burn. Our cotton wicks will curl off center as part of their natural trimming characteristic. Gently rotating your candle on a heat safe surface will help prevent an uneven melt pool.
Keep in shade.
Keep your candles out of direct sunlight. Our candles do not contain any chemical additives, and some natural discoloration can occur when placed in direct light.
Burn Time.
Do not burn your candles for more than 4 hours at a time. “Power burning” can shorten the life of your candle and cause an overheated vessel. Your candle is a tiny fire, respect the flame!
